Skyjo (FR)

Skyjo is a multi-round card game. The game ends when a player reaches or exceeds the 100 point mark. At the end of the game, the player with the fewest points is declared the winner. Skyjo's objective is to collect as few points as possible throughout the game.

Setting up the game:

Each player receives 12 cards

A card is placed face up in the middle of the table which will constitute the discard pile. The other cards will form the draw pile.

Each player places his 12 cards in front of him in 4 vertical rows of 3 cards face down.

Each player reveals 2 cards of their choice.

The player with the highest sum (of both cards) of points starts the game.

The player draws a card. He has the choice between the top card (face up) of the discard pile (he must then exchange this card with one of his 12 cards) or the top card (face down) of the draw pile (he has the right to look at the card and to choose whether or not to exchange it with one of his 12 cards).

The round ends when a player has revealed all of their cards. The other players still have the opportunity to play again to finish the round.

The players count the points.

The player who revealed all his cards must have the lowest number of points. Otherwise, his points are doubled.

At the end of each round, the players' points are counted and added to the total score. If at the end of a round, a player reaches or exceeds 100 points, the game ends. Whoever has the lowest number of points wins the game.
