Dixit: Revelations invites you to go beyond what you see at first glance and discover what lies between - or hidden by - the lines. Featuring artwork by French illustrator Marina Coudray, Dixit: Revelations is absolutely unlike any Dixit expansion that came before it. Coudray's mysterious and enchanting images are heavily influenced by early 20th century design, from the Art Deco movement to surrealism, even though they convey stories and ideas that can be thousands of years old. In his art you will find echoes of Picasso, Magritte, Matisse, Escher, Greek myth, Indian religion, pop music, internet memes, and much more... In these stylized pieces, reminiscent of architecture and New York glass. Tiffany lamps, you will find many allusions to ancient myths and popular tales.
Dixit: Revelations is an expansion for Dixit that contains 84 new cards for use with this game. In Dixit, each turn a player assumes the role of Storyteller, choosing a card from their hand, then telling a story, singing a ditty doing something that they think is associated with the card being played. Each other player then chooses a card from their own hand and gives it to the storyteller in secret. These cards are shuffled and revealed, then the players vote on which card the storyteller played. If no one or everyone votes for the storyteller, they receive no points; if he received some votes but not all the votes, he scores according to the number of votes received. Each player who submitted a correct vote or received a vote on their card submission also scores. After a certain number of rounds, the player with the most points wins.
